Begin your journey in Tsavo East, one of Kenya’s oldest and largest national parks, renowned for its iconic red elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and endless savannah landscapes. Continue to the scenic Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, where rich biodiversity and spectacular views provide excellent opportunities to spot elephants, big cats, antelopes, and over 300 bird species.
Stay at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, built on elevated stilts overlooking busy waterholes that attract wildlife throughout the day and night, offering an unforgettable safari experience from the comfort of the lodge.
With exciting game drives, experienced professional guides, comfortable 4×4 safari vehicles, and stunning wildlife encounters, this safari is the perfect escape for travelers seeking an authentic Kenyan safari from Diani Beach, Mombasa, Malindi, or Watamu.
Our driver guide will pick you at your coastal hotel/airport at 6.30am from your Hotel and drive for 4hrs to Tsavo East National Park. Start your morning game drive at 10.00am through this vast plain, have a chance to spot herds of Lions, Buffaloes, Red Elephants, Giraffes, Impalas, Zebras, Gazelles, Waterbucks, and different bird species. Your Game drive will continue until 12.30pm when you will Check-in and have lunch at the Lodge/Camp of your choice. After lunch relax till 04.00pm. Afternoon game drive will start at 4.00pm till 6.00pm back to Lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp of your choice.
Early morning game drive later you break for breakfast, after breakfast proceed with game en-route Leave Tsavo East for Salt lick Taita Hills Sanctuary which is less 3hrs drive. Taita Hills Sanctuary is sufficiently isolated to develop endemic forms and birders which come from afar to see the Taita Olive Thrush and the Taita White-eye. you will arrive around lunch time. lunch at Taita Hills Game Lodge. After lunch drive to Salt lick game lodge. Later afternoon game drive until late in the evening dinner and overnight at Saltlick game lodge.
Early morning breakfast, after breakfast proceed with Game en-route drive out of Taita Hills sanctuary and drive to Mombasa/Diani/Malindi/Watamu Beach which is less than 5hrs drive. You will arrive around 04.00pm.
Clothing:- Light, breathable clothing (neutral safari colours). Warm jacket or fleece for early mornings, Comfortable, walking shoes, Sandals or flip-flops, Hat or cap and sunglasses
Essentials:- Sunscreen (high SPF), Insect repellent, Personal toiletries and medication, Small backpack
