Itinerary

7:45 AM – Hotel or Airport Pickup
Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and drive to the Ngong Hills, located southwest of Nairobi.

9:00 AM – Begin the Ngong Hills Hike
Arrive at the entrance to Ngong Hills and meet your hiking guide before beginning your adventure.
The hike starts in Ngong Town, approximately 1,961 metres above sea level, and follows the ridge across the famous seven hills. The full hike takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, depending on your pace.
The first section follows a gentle incline before reaching the entrance to the Ngong Hills Forest Reserve. Continue past the wind turbines that have become a landmark of the area before climbing the rolling hills that offer spectacular panoramic views.
Throughout the hike, enjoy breathtaking scenery overlooking the Great Rift Valley on one side and the Nairobi skyline on the other. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the history of the hills, including their connection to Karen Blixen and the famous film Out of Africa. On occasion, you may also spot wildlife such as buffaloes and a variety of bird species.

1:00 PM – Return to Nairobi
After completing the hike, depart Ngong Hills and drive back to Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
