Elky Day Tour: David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage & Giraffe Centre

Itinerary
Your day begins with a pick-up at 10:00 AM from your hotel or residence within Nairobi.
The first stop is the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, open strictly between 11:00 AM and 12:00 noon. During this one-hour visit, you will observe rescued baby and juvenile elephants, learn their individual stories, and gain insight into ongoing conservation and rehabilitation efforts aimed at reintroducing them into the wild.
You will then proceed to the Giraffe Centre, where you will learn about the conservation of the endangered Rothschild giraffe. There will be an opportunity to feed the giraffes and take photographs.
The tour continues to the Kazuri Beads Women’s Factory, a pottery workshop producing handmade ceramic beads. You will be guided through the production process and learn about the initiative’s positive social impact in supporting local women.
Lunch can be arranged at a restaurant of your choice (at own cost).
Upon request, you may also visit the Karen Blixen Museum at no additional transport cost (entrance fees payable directly). The museum offers historical insight into the life of Karen Blixen, as featured in the film Out of Africa.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel or residence.
