Itinerary
06:00 hrs – Departure from Nairobi
Depart Nairobi and drive through the lush Kikuyu highlands towards the Great Rift Valley.
06:30 hrs – Great Rift Valley Viewpoint
Stop at the escarpment viewpoint to enjoy panoramic views of the Rift Valley floor. The Rift Valley was formed millions of years ago and stretches from the Red Sea through East Africa. From this point, you may spot Mount Suswa and Mount Longonot, along with the scenic landscape below.
07:00 hrs – Mount Longonot National Park
Arrive at the park and begin your hike to the crater rim. The trek requires moderate physical fitness, with rest points along the way. At the top, enjoy views into the crater, and for those with extra energy, an optional walk around the rim.
12:00 hrs – Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Descend to the base and relax briefly before proceeding to Lake Naivasha.
13:00 hrs – Lunch at Lake Naivasha
Enjoy lunch at a lakeside restaurant (such as Marina Camp) with views of the lake and surrounding birdlife.
14:30 hrs – Boat Ride on Lake Naivasha
Enjoy a 1-hour boat ride, offering close views of hippos and a variety of bird species, including the African fish eagle.
16:00 hrs – Return to Nairobi
Depart for Nairobi, arriving at approximately 17:30 hrs. Drop-off at your hotel or residence.
