About this tour

Experience two of Nairobi’s most popular wildlife attractions in one memorable day. Visit the world-famous David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to meet rescued orphaned elephants, then continue to the Giraffe Centre to interact with the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. You may also visit the Kazuri Beads Women’s Factory and, if desired, the Karen Blixen Museum.

Your tour begins with hotel or residence pickup at 10:00 AM from any location within Nairobi.
David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage
Your first stop is the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage, which is open to visitors strictly between 11:00 AM and 12:00 Noon. During this one-hour visit, you'll meet rescued baby and young elephants, hear their inspiring rescue stories, learn how they are cared for, and discover the conservation efforts that prepare them for their eventual return to the wild.
Giraffe Centre. Next, proceed to the Giraffe Centre, home to the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. Learn about the centre's successful conservation program, feed the giraffes from the raised viewing platform, and capture unforgettable photographs with these gentle giants.
Kazuri Beads Women's Factory, Continue to the Kazuri Beads Women's Factory, where you'll discover how beautiful handmade ceramic beads and pottery are created. Watch the entire production process, from molding and painting to firing and finishing. The factory provides meaningful employment to local women, many of whom are single mothers, helping support their families and communities.

The David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage is open to visitors only from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, and entry is subject to the daily visitor schedule.
